Dion Degrand is Chief Business Officer at Leeward and serves as an Independent Director. He brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience in finance, investment banking, and accounting, with a track record of driving strategic growth and advising boards through complex transactions.
Dion has held senior officer roles at global investment banks and was a board and executive committee member at one of Canada’s largest independent investment dealers. His advisory experience spans M&A, equity and debt financing, and board strategy across public and private markets, with transaction experience exceeding $50 billion.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta—where he graduated with the Gold Medal for his class—and is a CFA charterholder, Chartered Accountant, and Chartered Professional Accountant. Dion is a registered Professional Director under the Cayman Islands Directors Registration and Licensing Act and is resident in the Cayman Islands.
