Glenn Kennedy is the Founder and Managing Director of Leeward. With over two decades of experience in offshore governance, regulatory law, and corporate structuring, he serves as a trusted advisor and independent board member to Cayman Islands investment funds and management companies.
Glenn’s legal career began in Canada, where he was an equity partner at a Toronto-based business law firm before relocating to the Cayman Islands. He later joined a multi-jurisdictional offshore law firm, focusing on fund formation, compliance, and regulatory advisory. His ability to distill legal complexity into actionable strategy has made him a go-to presence in high-stakes environments.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and is a registered Professional Director under the Cayman Islands Directors Registration and Licensing Act. Glenn also serves as Secretary of the Cayman Islands Directors Association and holds Canadian, UK, and British Overseas Territories citizenship.
