Julie Haghiri

Julie Haghiri is a Director with Leeward Management Limited, bringing over 15 years of international experience in strategy, transactions, and restructuring. Based in the Cayman Islands, she advises DAOs, foundation companies, and digital asset projects on governance and compliance, with a track record of guiding cross-border entities through complex transitions. 

Prior to joining Leeward, Julie was a Senior Manager at EY Cayman, where she led high-profile restructuring and advisory projects across Canada, the United States, the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the BVI. Her portfolio included both public- and private-sector engagements, notably the $2 billion restructuring of a major cryptocurrency firm, where she played a key role in strategic advisory, compliance, and project management. 

Julie holds a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from York University and a certificate in the Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets from the Wharton School. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Blockchain and Digital Currency at the University of Nicosia and serves as Vice President and Deputy Lead of the Association of Women in Cryptocurrency (AWIC) Cayman Chapter. An active member of 100 Women in Finance, INSOL International, and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). Julie actively contributes to professional dialogue on digital assets, governance, and offshore financial services.
