Steven Slessor

Steve Slessor is a Director at Leeward Management Limited. He has over 25 years’ experience with fund administration, operations, audit, and regulatory matters in the alternative asset management industry. Steve is an independent board member and advisor for investment funds and their managers. In these roles, his focus is on corporate governance, legal, audit, and compliance matters, with focus on industry best practice.

Mr. Slessor previously served as Managing Director, Relationship Management at MUFG Investor Services, a top tier fund administration firm with over 700B in assets under administration. During his 17-year career at MUFG Investor Services, Mr. Slessor served in many roles including onboarding new funds, managing client relationships, their service providers, and serving as a trusted advisor. Additionally, Mr. Slessor served on the board of directors for MUFG Fund Services (Cayman) Limited and MUFG Fund Services (Bermuda) Limited, both regulated entities, for over 10 years. Previous to MUFG Investor Services, Mr. Slessor worked for global Insurance companies and audit firms all with specialization on investments and investment funds. Mr. Slessor is a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, a member of the Cayman Islands Director Association, and is a resident in the Cayman Islands. 

Mr. Slessor obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Further, he is also a Certified Public Accountant in good standing with the CPA Canada.
