Julie Haghiri is a Director at Leeward Management Limited, bringing in over 14 years of experience in strategy and transactions. Based in the Cayman Islands, she specializes in advising DAOs, foundation companies, and managing digital asset projects, ensuring excellence in governance.
Before joining Leeward, Julie was a Senior Manager at EY Cayman Ltd., where she led high-profile, multi-jurisdictional restructuring projects across Canada, the US, the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the BVI. Her expertise spans both the private and public sectors, including highly sophisticated and complex engagements such as the restructuring of a cryptocurrency firm with $2 billion in debt, where she played a key role in strategic advisory, compliance, and project management.
Julie is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Blockchain and Digital Currency at the University of Nicosia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies from York University, along with a certificate in the Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets from The Wharton School. Julie is actively involved in several professional organizations, including INSOL, 100 Women in Finance, and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), highlighting her dedication to the offshore financial services industry and continuous professional growth.
