Dion Degrand

Dion Degrand is Chief Business Officer and a member of senior management at Leeward Management Limited where he is responsible for overall leadership and strategic direction of the firm, including oversight of strategy, business development, staffing operations, risk management and regulatory compliance. With more than 25 years of extensive experience in finance, investment banking and accounting, Mr. Degrand brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success and business leadership to his role as Independent Director.

Mr. Degrand has held senior officer positions at several prominent financial institutions including multiple global investment banks and was an executive committee member, board director and audit and risk committee member of one of Canada’s largest independent investment dealers.  Throughout his career in finance and investment banking, Mr. Degrand has been instrumental in driving business growth, overseeing significant operational activities and advising multi-national public and private company boards and private equity firms on valuations, equity and debt financing and mergers and acquisition transactions totaling more than $50 billion​​.

Mr. Degrand holds Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, Canada, receiving the Gold Medal for his graduating business class. Mr. Degrand is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant. Dion is a Professional Director registered pursuant to the Cayman Islands’ Directors Registration and Licensing Act, 2014. He holds Canadian citizenship and is resident in the Cayman Islands.
